Emberillius Jackson grew up in an orphanage, and had no expectation that his future would prove to be any brighter than his childhood; however, his life began to change when Dr. Thadious Brown, the proprietor of the orphanage, told him that Emberillius was about to take an important trip to Hawaii. Confused about Brown’s intention, Emberillius went grudgingly, only to learn that nothing about his life and his circumstances were as it seems. There, Emberillius learned that the cold and forbidding Dr. Brown is actually his uncle, and Emberillius himself is the powerful descendent of Perillius, a hero from another world. Baffled, Emberillius initially rejects the notion that this could be true, but after the mark of Perillius makes itself clear upon his back, he’s forced to acknowledge that this madness is fact.

Emberillius is not expected to fight against the dark powers that threaten to destroy not only Sinexia but the Earth on his own; he’s joined in battle by a number of fearsome fighters and magicians from many magical lands. These fighters include Major Minor, a combat veteran from Earth; Solaria, an elite intergalactic fighter destined to protect Emberillius; Mr. Easter, a wizard of great power; Simprella, a beautiful young woman who is as powerful as she is lovely; Dylan, an ancient being who stopped growing at the age of 3; Symphony a young woman who has the blood of dragons coursing through her veins; and many more fascinating and heroic fighters. Together, Emberillius and his friends, known collectively as The Prayers, battle together to fight against the Geneseekers, powerful monsters who seek to destroy Emberillius and his ilk.

Sinexia: The Mark of Perillius is an action-packed adventure tale full of fighting, magic, romance, and good versus evil. The first in a series, this novel is full of amazing and exciting characters that will leave the reader longing for more. Author Atonus L. Perry is a longtime reader of fantasy, and found himself looking for a story with more action; as he was unable to find anything to fulfill his longing, he decided to go ahead and write one himself. He plans to pen more novels set in Sinexia; Perry resides in Shreveport, Louisiana.
